Blinkr enters the Fields

blinkr is the newest addition to Essendon Fields Auto, with its first shop now open at 325 Wirraway Road.

blinkr, is the new pre-owned vehicle brand for the Servco Australia Automotive group and aims to revolutionise the way preowned cars are traded in Australia. Customers can buy and apply for finance online, then have the car delivered, or click and collect from their 2,630 sqm showroom within Essendon Fields. Each car is meticulously reconditioned, allowing blinkr to offer a 12-month mechanical protection plan, 12-month roadside assist and 7 days money-back guarantee, included in the price of every car.

Michael Sistanis, Managing Director of blinkr highlighted the importance of a great buying experience for prospective buyers, as the largest contributor to a successful transaction.

“The overall customer experience in today’s market actually outranks product and price. Our vision at blinkr is to redefine the used car buying and selling experience to be the most stress-free, seamless, and enjoyable customer experience possible, that truly exceeds the customer’s expectations,” said Mr Sistanis.

“blinkr currently operates with 27 employees. We have purposely sourced a mix of well-experienced industry leaders as well as staff who are new to the industry but bring their own customer experience and expertise.”

blinkr occupies the former Holden dealership at EF Auto, with plans to also utilise disused hangar space to facilitate the forecast demand for preowned vehicle fulfilment at this strategic location. An extensive fit-out of 325 Wirraway Road now offers the blinkr team an exceptional stage for a fair, fast and easy buying and selling process. Walk in the door and be greeted by soaring ceilings, copious quantities of greenery, quality tech and a huge range of vehicles. Staff will be next to you in an instant offering fresh coffee or a cool drink to accompany your visit.

Mr Sistanis also highlighted the convenience and choice the Essendon Fields location offers car buyers.

“Independent used cars at scale is a largely untapped business space in Australia. We think blinkr can provide a large variety of vehicles, offering customers the flexibility to decide how they purchase or sell a car.  That may be a fully online process, or an in-store experience at the Essendon Fields showroom. We chose Essendon Fields as it suits our business model perfectly, the location is a central part of Melbourne, and the accessibility of the precinct with many major car brands surrounding us provides great convenience to car shoppers” he said.

“Our business model is of an innovative nature and part of our branding is to continually think outside the box. We see Essendon Fields as a business partner that ensures we can deliver just that. Our honest and transparent approach will mean we will share our industry knowledge and insights with Essendon Fields to help consistently deliver the highest calibre of customer experience.”
