Essendon Airport encourages its stakeholders to stay up to date on the current Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) travel requirements and restrictions as they apply to any interstate arrivals.

Essendon Fields Management have been notified by DHHS of an individual attending EF Central that has since tested positive for COVID-19.

It our understanding that:

  • An individual checked into EF Central at 30 English St on 11 October 2021 from 11.45am to 7.15pm, and has since tested positive for COVID-19
  • We have not been advised which business they attended whilst visiting the centre

A high-touch surface clean and disinfect of EF Central common areas has been arranged as per DHHS advice.

We remind all visitors to sites anywhere at Essendon Fields, no matter how brief, to use the QR check in codes provided at entry.

And as always, we urge all members of our community to continue to follow best practice hygiene and health advice, monitor for symptoms, and get tested immediately if you have any concerns.

The comfort and safety of tenants, contractors, staff and visitors to Essendon Fields remains the utmost priority at all times

And as always, we urge all members of our community to continue to follow best practice hygiene and health advice, monitor for symptoms, and get tested immediately if you have any concerns.

Here at Essendon Fields, the safety of our community is always paramount. That includes our team members, our tenants and operators, their customers, and any visitors that come to Essendon Fields each day.

Essendon Fields management continues to closely monitor Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic directives, and implement measures aligned with Australian health authorities advice to best manage health risks to our community.

EXTRA STEPS WE ARE TAKING:

Additional Cleaning: Since the beginning of the pandemic, frequent and thorough cleaning of our public amenities and common areas has been in place. This includes disinfection of touch points such as door handles, handrails, lift buttons and push plates in office buildings, public toilets, and our airport terminal passenger areas.

Social Distancing: increased signage, floor markers and queuing solutions are currently in place throughout the precinct public areas.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

We encourage our tenants, customers and visitors to monitor their health, observe social distancing and personal hygiene best practice, and take precautions consistent with health authority advice and regulations.

Personal Hygiene: wash your hands before you leave and when you return home or whilst at work on site, and be sure to keep at least 1.5 meters between yourself and others. Do not go out if you are unwell, unless it is to get tested after which you must go straight home.

Wear a Face Covering: everyone should wear a mask or face covering, as directed by the Government. More details about this can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services Website.

Government measures and the affects of the pandemic have affected trading for almost all businesses.  Many onsite businesses have been required to alter or temporarily cease operations to ensure the safety of both employees and the community, and the impact on these companies is ongoing.

No matter the current COVID setting, we continue to support our local businesses and hope that you can too in a safe manner.

We will keep informing you of any important updates to Essendon Fields operations and remain committed to doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our community at all times.
