IMPORTANT NOTE FOR AIRPORT USERS ARRVING FROM INTERSTATE

The Victorian Government Travel Permit system is currently in place. To help stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), all residents and travellers wishing to enter Victoria must now apply for a permit.

The permit system applies to travellers from anywhere across Australia. Information on the Travel Permit System can be found here: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/victorian-travel-permit-system

Essendon Airport encourages its stakeholders to stay up to date on the current Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) travel requirements and restrictions as they apply to any interstate arrivals.

A message from Essendon Fields

Here at Essendon Fields, the safety of our community is always paramount. That includes our team members, our tenants and operators, their customers, and any visitors that come to Essendon Fields each day.

Essendon Fields management continues to closely monitor Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic directives, and implement measures aligned with Australian health authorities advice to best manage health risks to our community.

EXTRA STEPS WE ARE TAKING:

Additional Cleaning: Since the beginning of the pandemic, frequent and thorough cleaning of our public amenities and common areas has been in place. This includes disinfection of touch points such as door handles, handrails, lift buttons and push plates in office buildings, public toilets, and our airport terminal passenger areas.

Social Distancing: increased signage, floor markers and queuing solutions are currently in place throughout the precinct public areas.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

We encourage our tenants, customers and visitors to monitor their health, observe social distancing and personal hygiene best practice, and take precautions consistent with health authority advice and regulations.

Personal Hygiene: wash your hands before you leave and when you return home or whilst at work on site, and be sure to keep at least 1.5 meters between yourself and others. Do not go out if you are unwell, unless it is to get tested after which you must go straight home.

Wear a Face Covering in high risk areas: everyone should wear a mask or face covering in high risk settings, as directed by the Government. More details about this can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services Website.

SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS

Government measures and the affects of the pandemic have affected trading for almost all businesses.  Many onsite businesses have been required to alter or temporarily cease operations to ensure the safety of both employees and the community, and the impact on these companies is ongoing.

As we take the welcome steps towards COVID normal, we continue to support our local businesses and hope that you can too in a safe manner.

For the full list of current Victorian Government mandated business restrictions please visit https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/

GOVERNMENT SUPPORT

The Federal Government has supported businesses and workers adversely impacted by COVID-19 through the JobSeeker and JobKeeper programs. To find out more please visit https://www.australia.gov.au/

The National Cabinet also instated a mandatory code of conduct relating to Commercial Leasing Principles during COVID-19, covering small to medium businesses across retail, office and industrial tenancies. This Code was implemented in Victoria by the Victorian State Government under the COVID-19 Leasing Regulations 2020.  More on our approach to offering financial relief to our customers during this crisis here https://ef.com.au/covid-19-relief-for-commercial-tenants/

We are continuing to work with tenants to offer appropriate support, and thank our business community for working collaboratively with us during this period of uncertainty. We also acknowledge the support of our contractors, suppliers and business consultants, who have worked closely with Essendon Fields management to implement operational cost savings across the precinct, to be passed on to our tenants in the form of reduced outgoings. More detail on this initiative here https://ef.com.au/collaborating-with-contractors-to-reduce-costs-during-covid-19/

We will keep informing you of any important updates to Essendon Fields operations and remain committed to doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our community at all times.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact askme@ef.com.au.

Sincerely,

The Essendon Fields team
