World’s most stylish Duck comes to Essendon Fields

Ducati might have been born in Bologna in 1926, but as an icon of classic Italian style and motorcycling engineering, the brand has been truly embraced by Australians for generations.

In fact, today Australians are the second highest per capita buyers of Ducati motorcycles anywhere in the world, only surpassed by Italy itself. It’s therefore not surprising that Ducati, known by riders across the world by their nickname ‘the Duck’, is expanding its dealership network in Australia as local sales grow. In Melbourne a new Ducati flagship run by Preston Motors Group will open soon at Essendon Fields Auto.

Ducati Melbourne West will open at 295 Wirraway Road, following Volkswagen’s relocation to larger premises at EF Auto. The 5,700sqm site area will ensure that the entire Ducati range available in Australia can be well displayed throughout a 2,150 square state-of-the-art showroom.

Preston Motors Group CEO Robert Gattereder said the choice of the EF Auto location was an easy one to make given its easy access and the popularity of Essendon Fields as a destination for automotive buyers from across Melbourne.

“Ducati is a great, well-established, brand and equally EF Auto has become very well known in Melbourne as the destination to travel to buy a new set of wheels. And you can always grab a friendly coffee or a bite from LaManna while you consider your options,’’ he said.

“I am thrilled to introduce motorcycles to Preston Motors Group and I very much look forward to enjoying the passion that exists within the Ducati family and community. Our aim is to make Essendon Fields a flagship site in Victoria and a destination for the Ducati,” Mr Gattereder said.
