Emergency Testing at Essendon Fields Airport

There will be a planned emergency exercise on a vacant apron at Essendon Fields Airport on Monday February 11 between 10am and 12pm that will involve mock passengers and crew as well as emergency personnel and vehicles.

Please do not mistake this activity for a real emergency.

This exercise will be used to test the Essendon Airport Emergency Plan (AEP) as required by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) every two years at every major airport in Australia.

There will be no interruption to the normal aviation services at Essendon Fields Airport during this exercise.
