Essendon Fields announces the continuation and expansion of its commitment to supporting junior football across the community, renewing its long‑standing sponsorship of the Airport West Football Club Juniors for FY27 and extending the same support to the Strathmore Football Club Juniors.

Essendon Fields has proudly supported the Airport West Juniors since 2018, and the addition of Strathmore further strengthens its investment in young players on both sides of the airport boundary. This expanded partnership will help more junior athletes develop their skills in inclusive, community‑minded sporting environments.

Essendon Fields’ community engagement initiatives have long focused on supporting local sporting clubs, charitable partners and grassroots organisations as part of a broader mission to enhance participation, wellbeing, and social connection across the region. This includes long‑term sports sponsorships and the Friends of the Fields Program, which has delivered over $260,000 in grants and fundraising support to local organisations since 2021.

Strathmore Football Club is a well‑established community hub, home to hundreds of junior players and underpinned by strong volunteer involvement, player development programs and a proud local identity. Partnerships with the club help support a vibrant sporting ecosystem that engages hundreds of families across the Essendon and Moonee Valley region each season.

“Supporting junior sport is one of the most meaningful ways we can contribute to the long‑term health and vibrancy of our surrounding suburbs. Airport West and Strathmore are both outstanding community clubs, and we’re proud to back the volunteers, parents and young athletes who make local footy such a powerful force for connection. We can’t wait to cheer on both teams – especially when they face each other this season,” said Nadia Salajic, GM Marketing at Essendon Fields.

By investing in both clubs, Essendon Fields continues to champion the development, accessibility and enjoyment of junior football, helping young players thrive on and off the field.
