LaManna
When Vince LaManna first saw Building 89 at Essendon Fields, a 10,000m2 post WW2 TAA component overhaul building, his eyes lit up. No-one had ever imagined the space could be utilised in such a way, but Vince saw it clearly – he had a vision, the drive and the passion to bring his dream to life.
The LaManna family opened LaManna Melbourne at Essendon Fields in 2010. Vince with his wife Linda, children Tanya, Patrick and Stefanie have together, alongside all the grandchildren, embarked on an exciting journey.
What was envisioned to be a 100% Australian Grown Fruit and Vegetable market has since evolved into 10,000sqm of retail heaven incorporating meat, deli, seafood, bakery, patisserie and groceries. LaManna’s mission statement “For the love of food” incorporates a passion for quality food, quality ingredients and customer service. However, this isn’t just their mission – it’s their passion, and you can see it in everything they do.
Today, Patrick and his sisters Tanya and Stefanie have taken over the pilot seats and are continually taking supermarket shopping to new heights. The team prides itself on providing its customers with old fashioned customer care – as it comes from the heart and not from any manual. In June 2014, The Age described it as, “probably the best supermarket in Australia.”
Visit, roam around the spacious, low profile aisles, and listen to great music while shopping throughout a truly destination store of Victoria.
