Getting safely back to site at Essendon Fields

Essendon Fields is pleased to advise our office has reopened, with our workforce returning to site in line with the Victorian Government Roadmap to Reopening.

In making the decision to return to work, we have ensured there is a robust COVID-Safe plan in place, as well as many other new procedures and initiatives to aid in the transition for employees.

This involved initially operating on a 2-2-1 basis, where our staff members were divided into 3 groups, who rotated working in the office Monday and Tuesday in Week 1, Wednesday and Thursday in Week 2 and Friday in Week 3.  The other teams remained working from home during this time. This structure assisted to create team bubbles to reduce the risk of infection and allow staff members to get back into the routine of coming into the office each morning.

As Victoria has moved to a more relaxed COVID-safe framework, we have brought more staff back to the office, with 100% of our workforce now onsite.

NEW EF OFFICE SIGN IN PROCEDURES

For staff coming to work each day, and any visitors to the Essendon Fields office, a QR code check-in procedure helps us manage our contact tracing obligations.

This involves simply opening up the camera on your smart phone, scanning the QR code on the door and following the prompts to check-in. For more details please click this link.

MAKING STAYING SAFE A WALK IN THE PARK

Alongside all the appropriate hand washing, sanitation and social distancing practices, we’ve also introduced walking meetings and making use of outdoor meeting spaces at Essendon Fields.

Our team has outlined a bunch of great routes for walking meetings, or spaces you can use in the available parks at EF. We encourage you and your teams to do the same and have created a handy guide to outdoor meetings in the Fields. You can view the guide here. BYO sunscreen!

MAKING USE OF MEETING SPACES AT HYATT PLACE

Like many workplaces, distancing requirements mean demand for our larger boardroom space remain in high demand, and we’re making use of the options available at Hyatt Place Event Centre for our every day team and client catch ups.

If you’d like to do the same, more information on walking meetings and Hyatt Place options can be found in this link.

SUPPORT LOCAL, & MAKE CAFÉ MEETINGS THE NEW ZOOM

In addition to supporting the Event Centre, we’re encouraging our teams to hold client catch ups via a cup of coffee at one of our many onsite cafés, who still need plenty of support following a turbulent 2020. From a sit down catch up at Hollies, Friction or Two Minutes Turkish, to grabbing takeaway coffee from LaManna for a walking meeting, we urge our community to support local business.

Together we’re staying safe, and getting back to collaborating and enjoying the great work environment here at Essendon Fields.

We hope to see all of you on site again soon too.
