Hart Precinct  |  Have Your Say

UPDATE: 2 AUG 2024, 9.30am - OVERVIEW & ACCESS INFORMATION

Help shape the future of Essendon Fields’ newest neighborhood!

Consistent with the approved 2013 Master Plan, the Hart Precinct in the airport’s northeastern corner is being developed as an aviation and light industrial jobs hub.

A new manufacturing facility for Modscape and vehicle storage warehouse for Dutton Wholesale were completed in 2024, and construction of a new manufacturing facility for Autex Acoustics is currently underway. Already operating in the precinct are Leonardo Helicopters (suppliers to the Police and Ambulance airwings), Elenium Automation, Green by Nature, and others.

Essendon Fields has made significant investment over the last 2 years to develop the Hart Precinct with new roads, extensive tree-planting and construction of a retarding basin. Future plans include the creation of further local area jobs via additional light industrial facilities and public areas for the community to enjoy.

The wider Essendon Fields estate is home to award-winning landscapes, public art, lifestyle amenity and food and beverage offering.  Now that the Hart Precinct is well under way, and as part of our long-term planning, we are considering what amenity might be most valued by the community in this location.
