EF Ticketed Parking Is Going Paperless

As Essendon Fields continues to grow, our team are finding ways to make accessing our precinct easier and more efficient for everyone in our community.

Following feedback from our customers and a review of our systems, Essendon Fields will be upgrading paid casual parking facilities, with changes to take effect on Monday 3 June 2024.

The changes to casual parking will involve removing or replacing all paid parking ticket machines across the precinct with ticketless and cashless terminals, alongside the introduction of the EasyPark pay-by-phone app, to make finding and paying for parking more convenient for customers.

Look out for the EasyPark signs in all paid parking areas over the coming weeks.

As part of this change 22 ticket machines are also being removed from our car parks and being replaced with 9 new ticketless, card-only machines, strategically located across the precinct in our busiest parking areas.  All of these parking locations will be supported by the EasyPark pay-by-phone app so customers can choose the method of payment that suits them best.

Casual parking hourly rates will also be adjusted in some areas, refer to the parking map for details. Please note, there will be no change to permit parking spaces.

The change to the EasyPark app, which is used across Australia and in council areas throughout Melbourne, will make it easier for users to pay using their phones. It’s also a greener solution, avoiding the hassle of paper jams and saving 12,500 metres of ticket paper per year, while also reducing the potential hazard of foreign object debris (FOD) waste on our airfield.

To get started, just download the app from the app store on your mobile phone or go to www.easypark.com.au.
