Essendon Fields Welcomes New Tenant Verifone

Verifone has recently joined the Essendon Fields community, with the payment multinational corporation signing a 4-year deal with 2 renewal options.

Taking up 617sqm of fully fitted office space within the iconic Beaufort Building, Verifone now calls an award-winning refurbishment of a World War II production facility their Melbourne home. The modern fit out makes full use of the scale and history of a building where Beaufort Bomber aeroplanes were once assembled and repaired.

The unique mix of heritage and modern ready-to-go office accommodation coupled with convenient proximity to Melbourne’s CBD and excellent connectivity via major arterial roads has been advantageous for Essendon Fields.

Verifone’s Sydney based General Manager for Australia, Paris Tsounias, explained that the location was a key factor in facilitating planned growth for the payment company.

“It was important to retain close proximity to our existing operational facility in Tullamarine but at the same time provide a professional and modern working environment for our Melbourne team.”

As point-of-sale and payment provider, Verifone sits within an industry helping companies adopt safer, cashless payment options. Globally, the company powers over 35 million devices in more than 150 countries and are utilised by the biggest and best-known brands around the world.

“The office space we have sourced within the Essendon Fields precinct also provides us with the necessary capacity to support expected growth within our Australian business over the coming years and ideally offer employment opportunities within the local market,” said Mr Tsounias.

Final spaces ranging between 532 – 635sqm now remain within the Beaufort Building. For more information or to enquire contact Nathan Brown via +61 433 592 588 or visit our website.
