Zeekr Opens Flagship Dealership at Essendon Fields Amid Rising EV Demand
Premium electric vehicle brand Zeekr has officially opened its new flagship dealership at 300 Wirraway Road, Essendon Fields, marking an important milestone in the brand’s Australian expansion.
It offers customers an immersive introduction to Zeekr’s all‑electric lineup, advanced design philosophy and technology‑led approach, while providing a streamlined ownership experience from first enquiry through to ongoing service and support.
Zeekr’s arrival comes as Essendon Fields Auto continues to experience a sharp rise in interest in electric vehicles. As the Southern Hemisphere’s largest single‑site automotive precinct, Essendon Fields records more than 21,000 vehicle sales annually and exceeded $1 billion in sales in 2025, making it a key barometer of Australian car‑buying behaviour and emerging mobility trends.
James Voortman, CEO of the Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA), notes that the pace of change is now moving faster than traditional reporting can capture.
“While our recent reports show a strong and steady inclination toward electric transition, the ‘on-the-ground’ reality in 2026 suggests interest is spiking even faster than anticipated. As fuel prices remain a primary concern for families and businesses, the value proposition of EVs has become impossible to ignore,” said Mr. Voortman.
Zeekr joins a growing electric vehicle presence at Essendon Fields, following the successful openings of BYD and CUPRA, further strengthening the precinct’s position as a one‑stop destination for next‑generation vehicles and future‑focused mobility brands.
