Winslow Group now calls Essendon Fields home

Winslow Group, one of Australia’s great national success stories in civil construction, has just taken out a major lease of 1,011 sqm at Essendon Fields to accommodate a shift of its national head office.

Winslow is a privately Australian owned company with national reach founded by Managing Director Dino Strano back in 1985. The new offices for Winslow, taking out the entire level 1 of 6 English Street, will host about 60 permanent employees to carry out critical roles like corporate administration, finance, communications, human resources, occupational health and safety, and IT. The company has over 1,500 employees in total around Australia and an annual turnover of over $1 billion.

Cameron McDonald, Group Financial Controller of Winslow Group, says the relocation to Essendon Fields was due to commencing major renovations and an expansion to the company’s original head office located in Campbellfield after more than 20 years.

“The Essendon Fields location was the major drawcard that lead to our move, due to its close proximity to major freeways and the Melbourne CBD, facilitating easy access to our other Melbourne based offices and various Victorian job sites. The cafes, supermarkets and the landscaped gardens and open spaces at Essendon Fields have been big hits for our staff,’’ said Mr McDonald.

“Essendon Fields is such a beautiful location that we might find it hard to get our employees back to Campbellfield!” he said.

Joel Rauer, Essendon Fields’ GM Property, welcomed Winslow Group to the Fields alongside the wider EF HQ team.

“We know it was a highly competitive process for Winslow to choose a new location for its head office and it’s gratifying that such an important company within the construction industry chose Essendon Fields,’’ he said.

“It seems that once the decision makers came to take a look at Essendon Fields it didn’t take them long to understand the benefits of the move. The lease was signed three weeks to the day from the company’s first inspection of the property!’’

“The prime location of the Essendon Fields business park, being on the border of the western, northern and inner suburbs and with direct connections to Bulla Road, Bell Street, Tullamarine freeway and Citylink, was an easy sell to Winslow – as it was to Colliers when we secured G01, 6 English Street back in 2021. This is a quality offering within a vibrant business community. It was a pleasure introducing Winslow to Essendon Fields,” said John Howell, Associate Director Office Leasing at Colliers.

“Essendon fields continues to see increased enquiry levels compared to the majority of the metropolitan office market, due to it’s enhanced connectivity and amplified visibility. We expect to see the high level of leasing activity continue through the second half of 2024,” finished Kevin Tutty, Director Office Leasing at Colliers.
