Orbit Logistics starts a new chapter at EF
Successful freight and logistics operator Orbit Logistics have just celebrated 20 years in the business by securing a new Essendon Fields based office space at 6 English Street.
Glenn Allison, owner of Orbit Logistics, is excited about the move to a 367 sqm tenancy which will become home to the company’s 22 employees in Australia who work closely with 25 employees based in Hong Kong and China. Orbit Logistics will be co-ordinating its entire international freight and logistics business from its new Essendon Fields base.
“We decided on Essendon Fields because the location was ideal in terms of freeway access. It was also close to our previous location and the site offers terrific amenities that industrial estates just do not. This is a relocation for us from an older style premises to a modern, clean office,’’ Glenn said.
Glenn says the amenities at Essendon Fields adds to the ability of tenants to attract and retain the best possible staff.
“I think Essendon Fields is terrific. I mean there’s ample parking and easy access to freeways. The biggest opportunity that we saw is in terms of amenity – everything is in the precinct! That’s a big plus for the staff of companies that base themselves here,’’ he said.
Essendon Fields CEO Brendan Pihan welcomes Orbit Logistics to the precinct.
“Given Orbit’s plans for growth, we’re excited it has chosen Essendon Fields as its new Australian base,’’ he said.
“The decision to move to Essendon Fields marks our 20th anniversary of doing business, which is a happy coincidence for us. It will signify the start of the next chapter of Orbit Logistics, as we reinvent ourselves for the next 20 years,” finished Glenn.
